Was Inge wearing a red jersey this series. So many ****ing stupid errors it makes me sick. I am disgusted with this performance.
Dude, chill out. It's not like the Tigers underachieved this year; they weren't even supposed to be in the playoffs, remember? The Tigers made a lot of stupid mistakes due to inexperience in the WS, but the Cardinals played well enough to capitalize on those mistakes, so at least give them credit for that.

As a Tigers fan, I'm just as disappointed as you are with the outcome, but I'm not disgusted in any way, because I know that this team is only going to get better. Think of this series as a learning experience for all the young players and guys that haven't been there before. The Cardinals took their lumps in 04 and 05, and it made them a better team down the stretch in 06.

And look at the bright side: At least we eliminated the Yankees!

It was a great season, but the mistakes they made were BASIC FUNDAMETAL errors they all learn when they are 7 yeras old. The base running error by Inge? 3 pitchers making numerous throwing errors/ It is disgusting. Hell the Tigs hit terribly, but it was still good enough to win 2 of those games. They handed them the series, and Kudos to the Cards. I dont know who all is a free agent, but they can do it again next year, though thats the farthest thing from my mind.

As a Tiger fan there is every reason to be pissed after that choke job.

The way they shut down the best line-up in the history of the game and then disposed of the A's to come out there and puke that series up was disgusting.

You could slowly see it unraveling as the game was going on .

The only one who really bucked up and did consistant hitting was Casey. Rogers pitched outstanding also. Other than that-nothing but sad and shamefull points.

Someone needs to take a chill pill. Not the Cardinals fault that the Tiggers played like absolute sh!t in the field. The Cardinals still have to capitalize off those mistakes and they definately did. And hey shouldn't the Tiggers be able to make up for those fielding mistakes by hitting the stuffing out of the ball like they did all season. Oh wait they couldn't even hit Weaver who we picked up on the cheap after the Angels left him for dead.

Bottom line, the Tiggers may have made a bunch of stupid errors but they still could have done something about it with the bats and they didn't do so.

P.S. Go Cardinals!

first of all I am not disgusted with the season the tigers had, but the way it ended.
Who is to say the tigers will be back next year. The free agent market in baseball is crazy and injuries could be devastating. SO I hope they will make it back, but you never know

I am not blaming the cards for taking advantage of the tigs errors and sloppy play at all. They scored when they needed to and thats why they won. I would have liked to see a copetitive series is all I'm saying.

As I would have liked to see as well. But unfortunately for you, me, Fox, and most neutral baseball fans that did not happen.
