RA Dickey on Letterman

I don't watch a lot of TV but I caught clip online of RA on Letterman last night. He actually gets the longest laugh during this sequence because he ad libbed on Dave while they were playing catch.

Amazing that Letterman can catch the knuckleball but Buster Posey can't!

lol he was probably throwing it about 40-50 mph so its not like he was trying to hurt dave. The slowest knuckleball pitcher I ever met was a kid who played mostly A level ball with Batavia in the NY penn league a little bit of time at AA ball, he said his knuckler was 48-55 mph. I saw his delivery, and it was nuts, literally just a small step forward, almost like he was dropping a ball in a basket. Very strange

Also, feel free to visit the knuckleball message board I've helped run for the past 10 or so years

it's like a trip back to 2000 with the forum layout. we really need to upgrade, but no one wants to.

I used to fool around with one when I played ball but half of them would spin and be worthless. It is all in the wrist and how you release it off the fingertips. If I kept the wrist just right, the ball would float like it was supposed to do but it's hard to be consistent with it.
I used to try a forkball and screwball also but they were hard pitches to throw also!
I used to drive my old man nuts!
