Fridge, I can't believe that you are not holding on to your tickets in anticipation (hopefully summer of 2006) of the great accomplishment the Phils will have--the first team in the history of sports to lose 10,000 games in their history. I'm as close as I have ever been to dropping them from my loyal grip and going elsewhere for my baseball. It is hard fror me to do because I am born a certin way and this in not natural. I really hate them and their business practices. It is hard to root for them because they are imcompitent, lying, yes men. Very soon though I think sadly....

So I was talking to Jimmy Rollins the other night. P{retty much about nothing. I was to ashamed to ask him about the Lofton pick up. But J Rol is a good down to earth guy. He had a good season last year.

If Jon Lieber signed with any other team he'd be fine but in that park a fly ball pitcher like him it might get ugly. 8 million a year is a little too high if you ask me.

I'd take him over Wright who is nothing without Leo Mazzone. I think he's better than Milton too, isn't Lieber a groundball pitcher?

I'd take him over Wright but I wouldn't take him over Milton. Lieber had 290 GB outs and 203 FB outs so I guess you can call him a GB pitcher but compare him to another FA Derek Lowe who had 405 GB outs and 141 FB outs. He can be classified as a GB pitcher but really it's not by much. Lowe would have been a perfect fit for that field.
