The Phillies Are Clueless!

Disappointing season, then you chose the wrong manager!!! STRIKE ONE

Announced you'll be reducing payroll, which means we won't get any stud pitchers or a solid center fielder!! STRIKE TWO

Sent me a letter today saying my $15 seats are going to go up 83% to $27 a seat, despite last years record numbers!! STRIKE THREE

I am out! I cancelled my season tickets today!

You forgot to mention the Phils re-signing future hall of famer Corey Lidle. Heard the Phils are going after Wells imo he'd be a good pickup for a year or two he's got a rubber arm.

Fridge, I can't believe that you are not holding on to your tickets in anticipation (hopefully summer of 2006) of the great accomplishment the Phils will have--the first team in the history of sports to lose 10,000 games in their history. Come on, that is worth the price hike (and probably another one next year).

I'm as close as I have ever been to dropping them from my loyal grip and going elsewhere for my baseball. It is hard fror me to do because I am born a certin way and this in not natural. I really hate them and their business practices. It is hard to root for them because they are imcompitent, lying, yes men. Very soon though I think sadly....

Kenny Lofton??? That would have been a nice pick up say 8 YEARS AGO!!!!!!! Great job, he's a clubhouse cancer.

So I was talking to Jimmy Rollins the other night. P{retty much about nothing. I was to ashamed to ask him about the Lofton pick up. But J Rol is a good down to earth guy. He had a good season last year.

There some good news from the Phillies front.

Ok now back to the killing of the management...

The Phillies are close to signing Jon Lieber, the New York Times reports.
Pretty solid move by the Phils if true imo.

Yeah, too late. Why weren't these deals done at the deadline last year, when they could of made a run...

If Jon Lieber signed with any other team he'd be fine but in that park a fly ball pitcher like him it might get ugly. 8 million a year is a little too high if you ask me.

I'd take him over Wright who is nothing without Leo Mazzone. I think he's better than Milton too, isn't Lieber a groundball pitcher?

I'd take him over Wright but I wouldn't take him over Milton. Lieber had 290 GB outs and 203 FB outs so I guess you can call him a GB pitcher but compare him to another FA Derek Lowe who had 405 GB outs and 141 FB outs. He can be classified as a GB pitcher but really it's not by much. Lowe would have been a perfect fit for that field.
