Josh Hamilton 5 Years/125 Million

Good luck to the Angels with this one, Possibly Rehab at some point, what are they gonna get for this no matter 2/3 years of worth it. For sure at least the last 2 being a DH. Texas GM bullshiit never got a call to match the offer. I ask WHY ? would he be Bullshiit on that.

Yeah 125 millon is a giant gamble. Torii Hunter was miffed about the deal since he got traded away. On paper the Angles look like they have players for a World Championship. 5 years too long of a deal IMO.

Holy overpayment, especially when he ends up back in rehab.

The part gets me is teams were offering 3 years and he was holding out for 4. He is 32 now and will be 37 when it is over. Besides tough place to hit for a lefty HR hitter. Not like Texas that is for sure.

He'll implode. The guy has the best pure talent of anyone in baseball but needs a babysitter 24/7.

To be fair, the Angels thought they were going to get Greinke so when that fell through the money they were saving for him opened up and allowed this signing.

I said the same thing to someone last night, that being said lets not forget he gave up in the end of the year with Texas. That with his off field problems stand out the most to me.

Yeah, its a year or 2 than I would have done and it's a lot of money.

However they undoubtedly have the best lineup in baseball. Trout, Pujols, and Hamilton is one of the best collection of hitters in history.

$25 million is a huge bill for a hitter whose best seasons are behind him. The Angels can have him.
