Posey. .336 BA, 24 HR's, 103 RBIs. His numbers are overshadowed by what Miggy did in the AL

He also played what is quite possibly the most important position on the field, and helped guide one of the best staffs in baseball to the world championship.

That spells MVP to me.

if playing the most important position means anything, then molina should win it. he didn't have chris carpenter. adam wainwright sucked and besides kyle lohse, really had nobody else to fully count on in the rotation. plus molina didn't take days off like posey did and play 1st base (caught 188 more innings). molina had a higher fielding pct along with throwing out almost 50% of base runners compared to posey's 30%.

that said ryan braun had a better year this year than last and should win it, but unfortunately won't because everyone is slobbering all over posey coming back from the injury last year.

Good points about Molina, who is arguably the best catcher in the game. His offensive numbers just don't match Posey's.

Braun's numbers are excellent, and should definitely finish 1 or 2.

I chose Posey because of him being on the World Champs, and leading the team after Melky got busted.

I thought Posey deserved it. He lead the NL in WAR, and lead the MAJORS in adjusted OPS. Plus, he played catcher and lead his team to the playoffs.

Molina played catcher (full-time) and led his team to the playoffs too

He did? His percentage stats were all superior last season, and he produced more runs in less plate appearances.

But didn't lead the NL in OPS+ or WAR. The Giants also won their division.

screw the alternative adjusted bull**** stats...molina was more important to his team along with having a career year...oh and not taking days off to "rest" like posey. all this stupid number crunching bull**** is ruining the game and awards. it's taking away from the game itself and things that players are actually doing on the field.

Screw whatever you want. I don't give a sh*t.

And Posey was the most important player in the league.
