I f*cking hate Francisco.

The guy's supposed to be a professional pitcher. Yes, the umpire kind of gave him the screws with a couple of those borderline pitches going as balls, but you can't come completely unglued because you didn't get the call (and he was already sucking by giving up a lead-off triple anyway).

Shame to see a good day's work wasted by the bullpen.

Can't believe I thought Francisco would be capable of getting through one lousy inning.

Imagine that we have been watching the great Mariano for 15 years who never loses his cool and we gotta waste 12 million on this idiot!
He almost blew last night's game again!
He blew the game on Friday and Sunday or the Mets would be on a 9 game winning streak!
Earth to Sandy-fix this goddamn bullpen!

What pitching by Santana and Dickey the last two days! It reminds me of the Seaver/Koosman/Matlack days of the 1970's!
The new fences helped yesterday with 3 home runs that would of been doubles or outs last year!
27-21 after 48 games with a horrible pen and Ike Davis hitting .160!

Good to see the Mets hanging on to late inning leads.

No complaints, but I would like to see Wright's bat reawaken.

If the Mets had a bullpen, they'd be in first place and Santana would be either 7-3 or 8-2!

Trickey Dickey does it again! Breaks Koosman's shutout streak as well.

dickey again! 11 k's thru 8.... hope he goes the full 9... pretty much doing it all by himself

last time a pitcher went 2 back to back complete games giving up 1 hit or less was in 1988... still waiting for the top of the 9th... dickeys the man

back to back complete game 1 hitters for dickey... moves to 11-1. New Career high 13 k's!

Yes, that would be Dave Steib. He lost the no hitter with 2 out in the 9th in BOTH games. Unreal. He lost a perfect game in 1989 vs the Yankees with, once again, 2 out in the 9th. He finally got a no hitter in Cleveland in 1990.

With a bit of luck, he could have finished with 4 no hitters, and more amazingly, he could have had back to back no hitters.

Time to hammer the Yankees! Starting to swoon a little so this will be a perfect opportunity for the Mets.

If the Mets had a bullpen they'd be in front by 5 games now and they are crazy lately!
Sweep Tampa and Baltimore and get swept by the Yankees and the Reds!
92 to play, lets go Sandy, fix this goddamn pen and sign Dickey now before he's on his walk year next season!
