Harper stole home on a pick off throw to 1st and later in the game legged out a double on a bloop hit over SS. That was fun to watch.

This is just terribe. A guy can purposly block the view of the runner so he does not know what's going on?!?!?! No repsect for the game.

well... the first thing you do is not trust the other team for your information... maybe shift your eyes and look around.... maybe listen for the sound of a ball getting hit... or a familiar voice of a teammate or manager... but maybe he's deaf? I dont know

Players try to fake out other players all the time.

It's no different than a player in hockey tapping his stick on the ice calling for the pass to confuse the opponent.

Or when there's a ground ball that goes through for a hit and you see the middle infielders go through the motion of a double play.

Hell, I've done this as a runner on a ground ball to the hole between 1st and 2nd. Stop half way right where the ball is going to distract the fielder from being able to field it cleanly.
