Found McCutchen's gold glove funny as ****. Just a hitters list to be truthful and that is one area of the game McCutchen was weakest at this year.

Really? McCutchen had the best fielding % of all NL CFs and played in nearly every game.

He also missed the cut off man more then any OF I remember, but I just feel like its going away from who actually fields really well to who hit well and plays the field well.

I thought Barmes had a shot at SS because he played well in the field, but couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag. I thought McCutchen really got this on his rep more then his outfielding stats to be truthful.

Nice to see at least one Cub on the list. A lone bright spot...

I see. I thought he was a really solid defensive player but I didn't watch him every day. Maybe rep played a part. I wish Carlos Ruiz hadn't been injured and missed 35 or so starts because he was on pace to have a much better season than Yadier Molina, and we would have seen just how much reputation plays a part in the voting.

In the two most commonly cited advanced metrics, DRS and UZR, "Cutch" graded out as a below average fielder.

Michael Bourn probably deserved the award in center.

Exactly, Molina would win that award because he has a bigger rep than Ruiz and that's just how this award goes anymore. It's become more subjective than fielding stat based, and event the fielding stats are only a part of it now as they look at how they did with the bat, even though it has nothing to do with the award winner.

Great, now how about citing stats that don't keep people virgins for life.

Bourn also had a better range factor?
