Theriault suspended 13 games for throwing his stick

Theriault received 1 game for a gross-misconduct and 12 games for tossing his stick into the glass.

There was a clip of this out there I saw last weekend; if I can track it down again I'll post it here. He was heated about something as the linesman was escorting him to the door after he had been tossed for something. He was skating toards the door turned back around and tossed the stick into the glass; not high enough to go over the glass and into the stands but enough for it to smack half way up the glass. Considering the # of game's he served previously in his carrer I'm surprised they didn't throw the book at him more. Years ago I think it was Ryan Pisiak that got a hefty suspension for tossing his stick into the stands; something like 30 games. Someone else here must remember that one?

If I'm not mistaken the lasttime that he did this the stick actually went into the stands.

Doing something dumb once maybe excusable, doing the same thing twice, just plain stupid.
