River Kings Sign Francis Lessard

(Cornwall, ON) As the Cornwall River Kings assemble their first roster in franchise history they have recently added plenty more size and strength with one player.

The River Kings have come to terms with 6`3, 235lbs enforcer Francis Lessard. He has 115 NHL games under his belt with the Atlanta Thrashers and Ottawa Senators collecting 346 penalty minutes.
This will be Lessard`s first stint in the LNAH having spent his entire pro career between the NHL and the AHL. Last season he played for the Binghampton Senators in 43 games and amassed 138 penalty minutes. Lessard played for Val D`Or and Drummondville in the QMJHL.

River Kings General Manager, Wayne Veary says `A huge thank you to Mario Joly and Jesse Winchester for their help in bringing Lessard to Cornwall. The team will be very competitive this season.`

I know, I got overly excited before I saw what league this was posted in. I noticed when I asked myself what the hell is he doing down at sphl, I'm still half asleep.
