The LNAH Top 10 Thread

(Similar to our original Top 10 thread in Who is the Best Fighter, see here for an example)

Here is an ever-changing list showing who we collectively believe are the best fighters in the LNAH. List your top 10 and I will compile the votes using a formula similar to the AP. Make sure to post your new list whenever it changes, only the most recent votes will count. I need a full top 10 in order for your votes to count.

The collective list will be displayed along with the players rank, total first place votes in parenthesis, and the total votes that the fighter has received...

Current HF LNAH Top 10 (12/4/07)
Total Votes: 8
Votes Counted: Most Recent 8

1. Brandon Sugden (7)........................78
2. Steve Bosse...................................61
3. Joel Theriault (1)............................60
4. Manuel Frechette.............................48
5. Sean McMorrow................................47
6. Jacques Dube..................................42
7. Mike Varhaug....................................22
8. Samuel Duplain..................................19
9. Louis Bedard.....................................16
10. Ryan-James Hand..............................15

Other Receiving Votes: Kurtis Swanson (10, Curtis Tidball (8), Derek Parker (8), Brad Wingfield (4), Patrick Allard (1)

Its extremely difficult to make a top 10 list so far this season from what I have seen or been told. I definitely believe Sugden is number one as he is one of the best and smartest overall fighters in the game today. He might not be killing anyone yet, but he never losses and never seems to get hit. Number two is dead even in my opinion between Bosse and Theriault. I`m only putting Bosse ahead by last name alphabetically. Maybe January 9th in St. Jean will be the big battle to see who is the better fighter? At least on that night anyway. I think anyone between 4-10 has a chance of beating one another and the list can change week by week. Some of the bigger 4-10 names have not looked overly impressive thus far this season. Guys like Dube and Varhaug have been underachieving from what I have seen, but those guys are tough as hell and I think we will see them to turn it up. I honestly think Frechette is having the best season of anyone so far and I gave him a very generous ranking which is well deserved up until this point of the season. I might be a little biased as well.

1) Brandon Sugden
2) Steve Bosse
3) Joel Theriault

4) Manuel Frechette
5) Jacques Dube
6) Shawn McMorrow
7) Mike Varhaug
8) Louis Bedard
9) Samuel Duplain
10) Brad Wingfield

HM) Christian, Maxwell, Parker, Hand, Moscevsky,Tidball, Swanson, Leinhos

Wow it surprises me that some have Bedard ranked ahead Of RJHand. RJ has beaten him twice this year and Bedard only got the better of RJ after he sucker punched him in their last fight. And how does Wingfield rank when he has only a couple of fights. Oh well!!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess. Even if it's wrong. LOL..

I think you definitely have an argument ranking RJ in the top 10. I think he could fall into that 8-10 spot. Its just so hard to make the list to begin with and hard to leave a twelve year warrior veteran like Bedard off of it. He can still be very dangerous. He has been one of the biggest warriors the league has ever seen. That said, I think ole Louis had started declining a little bit last season. Thats what age and wear and tear will eventually do to you. I`ll be interested to see what he`s got left in the tank the next time he faces the young kid.

Wingfield looked good in his 3 fights he had so far, but I know thats not a lot of activity. I`m basing his #10 ranking on ability as well. I`d like to see he and RJ go. That would be a good fight!

I think you will see that next Friday. From what I hear RJ is pretty steamed about what happened 2 weeks ago and I think when and if Louis says stop he's had enough, RJ will not be his usual "Mr.Nice Guy" and let up. Me thinks the only way it will be stopped is by the refs. Payback is a BITCH!!!!

Bosse has five fights this year three wins and two draws, Joel Theriault has three fights in two games played, Joel has two wins and a draw, at this point of the season is it fair to put Joel and Steve ahead of all the other guys that are fighting day in and day out.......

Anybody with less than seven fights did not make my list yet,

Brandon Sugden
Sean McMorrow
Samuel Duplain
Curtis Tidball
Ryan James Hand
Derek Parker
Manuel Frechette
Kurtis Swanson
Louis Bedard
Patrick Allard (somebodies got to vote for him...LOL)

Sorry but I can't put Bosse or Theriault on my list yet.... You have to put McMorrow in the top three right now look at his record, it's one of the best in the league at 14 win no losses and 5 draws, no matter if you like the way he fights or not he is still getting the job done in the win-loss colums.........

3) Joel Theriault

4) Manuel Frechette
5) Sean McMorrow
6) Jacques Dube
7) Mike Varhaug
