Cornwall acquires Tyler Howe; signs Samuel Drouin
(Cornwall, ON) The Cornwall River Kings have dealt goaltender Maxime Daigneault to Jonquiere for the rights to tough guy Tyler Howe. The team has also come to terms with gritty forward Samuel Drouin.
The 21 year old Howe, who is 6’4 220 lbs, has been playing for Cape Cod in the FHL this season after a stint in the SPHL with Augusta last year and two seasons in the QMJHL with Moncton. He is expected to join the club very soon. Drouin played 19 games in the LNAH last season with Sorel-Tracy and collected 41 penalty minutes and 3 points. River Kings Head Coach Al Wagar says “thanks to the stellar play of Loic Lacasse between the pipes, we had an asset (Daigneault) to use in a trade to fill some needs on the team. The acquisition of Howe will add an extra enforcer after the team lost the services of Dannick Lessard who is out indefinitely. Drouin will also bring some grit to the lineup”.
