Rockford going to AHL...

The word is UHL's Rockford IceHogs are going to the AHL, and will be affliates with the Chicago Blackhawks.

Will be offically announced tomorrow (Monday)

Personally, I have mixed emotions.

It would be great to see the IceHogs play AHL level hockey, but we will lose the violent rivalry with Q.C.... and I don't see this kind of rivalry forming with the Chicago Wolves, which litterly is just two turns and about 40 mintues away from the Metro Center. Most Rockford fans (such as myself) want to see a good, physical, and fight filled game at cheap prices, and the AHL is not this. Rockford is going to have to rise ticket prices, and they will lose the violent rivalry with Quad City.

I do not see a whole lot of good comming from this.

the ticket price raise might not be something to worry about. When Richmond had the riverdogs. the tickets to see a UHL game were higher then the Norfolk Admirals of the AHL.

O.k., I said it. I didnt see any hot looking girls when I went up to the Mark. All I saw was a bunch of rednecks with bad mullets and fat gals with missing teeth. I guess you must've hit college night where the girls were slightly better.
