One IHL Deal Reached Before Deadline
ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced that the trade deadline, which was today at 3:00 p.m. EST, has passed. There was one trade made today before the deadline.
The only trade being submitted and approved this afternoon was between the Fort Wayne Komets and the Kalamazoo Wings. Fort Wayne has traded right wing Dominic Osman and defenseman Dylan Row to Kalamazoo for veteran defenseman Rod Aldoff. Osman has played 37 games with the Komets, registering 18 goals and 12 assists for 30 points with 37 penalty minutes. Row just signed with Fort Wayne on March 6th and appeared in the Komets three games played last week. He has yet to a record his first IHL point. Aldoff has played 57 games with the K-Wings, posting 30 points (7 goals, 23 assists) and 56 penalty minutes. Member Clubs will not be allowed to make trades until the start of the Annual Meetings in June.

Solid pick up for the K's adds a vet to their blue-line and another guy for the P-kill and PP. Osman is a good young pick up for the Wings..I would have preferred Robinson but Aldoff is just as solid.

This is clearly a pick up for the playoff run, nothing more. They never replaced Beckett when he bolted for Germany so this signing brings in that experience. He plays a defensive and physical game in the defensive zone. With our record in shoot-outs this at least adds someone who can score in them...I really liked the Osman kid he is big and has not been afraid to mix it up. It is not about how good he is in a fight it is the fact he shows up. I have a lot of respect for players who do that. He can only get better in all departments.
