Legault match penalty

Quote:
Fort Wayne forward Olivier Legault received a match penalty for attempt to injure after the final horn when he raised his stick from the ice and clipped Muskegon's Steven Later in the mouth. The match penalty means the play will automatically be reviewed by IHL Vice President of Hockey Operations Brad Jones for possible further suspension.

The Komets are off until Friday when they play at Flint before coming home Saturday to face Bloomington.

Vodka<Humpzilla

Well yea we knew it was gonna happen. I wonder if he knocked any teeth out. It was oddly a cheap as hell shot from Legault. Legault isnt known for cheap shots really.

Expect a big suspension and fine.

I was at the game and I was post the video tonight so everyone can see it. Legault was on the ice and him and Robinson ran into each abot the time the horn blew for the end of the game. Later jumped off the bench and skated across to him but the linesmen had ech of them, they exchanged words for a long tim eand Legault threw is stick up at his face and hit him. I was on the ther side of the rink but it looked like it hit him but people I talked to said it didn't and he faked it. But i say he hit him. Littlejohn stood there and just sayed some stuff, Mac was ready to go and Legaul;t was thrown off the ice. Mac wanted to go with Later and was making fun of Later by acting like he was crying it stuff. Noone on Muskegon except for Later acted like he wanted to. Noone even tried to go after Legault or Mac. Legault was trying to get Later all night and he didn't want to do anything. Noone on both sides really wanted to drop all night. There were times when I thought a brawl was going to go but it never happened.

Also for the discussion on the other topic about Fort Wayne not doing anything. The defense on the ice when Stauffacher was on th ice were not fighters and probably wouldn't fight even Stauffacher. Mac was on the ice the second time Luke ran into Boucher but didn't even know it happened.

It really does not matter who is or who is not on the ice, when that happens you stand up for your goalie. Last year's squad would have not stood by and watch it happen.

Because Ramsey had his no "fight" clause in affect....Now when the K's go to Muskegon I am sure Later/LJ/Stauffacher all will be really tough guys, just like they were against Bloomington..Right Jester

once again, the Jacks were playing way under the limit in Ft Wayne. anybody with half a brain knows that you don't fight when you have nobody playing, let alone a tie game the whole game. if Later would've fought, they would've been at 3 defenseman.

that doesn't constitute a "no fight clause"...use your f*ckin brain, dude. go argue retarded sh*t with someone else.

The first time Luke should have been taking out for hitting Boucher but noone did. They got a powerplay and they moved on. why try to fight him and then go in the box and no powerplay. Both teams needed that win and both in my book are the best in the league this year. If the Komets keep taking stupid penalties all the time, they won't get back on track to start winning like they were.

Stauffacher for one has noone to fight in Fort Wayne. The only fighters we have now are Mac, Legault, Bertram and maybe Gravelle. Bertram won't fight much. He will only fight to stick up for his mates or because someone really makes him mad. Gravelle might fight Stauffacher but I doubt it will happen. Stauffacher obvoisly won't be fighting Mac or Legault. Even though him and Mac would be a good fight. Mac is only 5'10 but the guy is very stocky.

I doubt we will ever see Littlejohn and Mac go because they used to be friends when they played together.

That takes Muskegon's two top fighters out to fight FW's regualar fighters.
Later and Legault will fight. After Saturday night its pretty much set in stone they will fight at least once. Later might go again with Mac as well.

If Hanson plays which I bet Ramsey will play him next time they play Fort Wayne and he will def. be fighting Mac or Legault depending on hwo the game goes.

Rather then that, thats it. Some other guys might fight after a pushing match at the goalie or on the boards.

What I would like to see is (with the ones in bold that will happen):
Gravelle vs. Stauffacher
MacMillan vs. Littlejohn
MacMillan vs. Hanson
Legault vs. Later

Bertram vs. Lamontagne
