Komets Roster Update

Quote:
Lincoln Kaleigh Schrock said he hopes to make his decision by Wednesday but is leaning toward returning to the Komets. Franke also said the team is close to re-signing captain Guy Dupuis and goaltender Nick Boucher.

The Komets are continuing to talk with potential returnees Matt Syroczynski, Frankie DeAngelis, Sean O'Connor and Brandon Warner. Franke said he will talk to Tim Haun later this week. The Komets have had a conversation with former Flint goaltender Rob Nolan.

“I need some answers from some guys this week,” Franke said. “I think by the end of this week or next week I'll have a better idea where we stand, for sure. Once we get those decisions, then maybe I can get to the point where we're just looking for younger guys to come in. I feel very comfortable with where we're at right now.”

If the Komets can complete Dupuis' contract, they'll likely stick with three veterans this season to fit everyone under the salary cap, Franke said.

Anyone else find it weird that Fort Wayne is the only team signing anyone, due to the uncertainty over the agreement between the IHL and CHL?

I would have to agree, might be bad for some of the other IHL teams if Fort Wayne can still sign some guys from non existing teams. I think Bloomington has 1 player signed and that is all i have heard from the other teams.
