IHL hands down 3 suspensions
ROCHESTER, MI--- The International Hockey League (IHL) announced Tuesday the following three suspensions resulting from player actions during this past weekend.
Muskegon defenseman Matt Krug has been issued a one (1) game suspension for his actions during IHL Playoff Game A-2, Flint @ Muskegon, on Saturday, April 24th. The suspension is being issued under Rule 29 (Supplementary Discipline) in relation to a hit from behind. Krug will be ineligible to participate in IHL Playoff Game A-3, Muskegon @ Flint, Tuesday, April 27th. Flint forward Rick Smith has been issued a one (1) game suspension for his actions during IHL Playoff Game A-2, Flint @ Muskegon, on Saturday, April 24th. The suspension is being issued under Rule 29 (Supplementary Discipline) as a result of the slashing major assessed during the game. Smith will be ineligible to participate in IHL Playoff Game A-3, Muskegon @ Flint, Tuesday, April 27th. Fort Wayne forward Justin Hodgman has been issued a two (2) game suspension for his actions during IHL Playoff Game B-3, Port Huron @ Fort Wayne, on Sunday, April 25th. The suspension is being issued under Rule 29 (Supplementary Discipline) as a result of a slash at the end of the game. Hodgman will be ineligible to participate in the following playoff contests: IHL Playoff Game B-4, Fort Wayne @ Port Huron, Wednesday, April 28th IHL Playoff Game B-5, Port Huron @ Fort Wayne, Friday, April 30th
