Wichita, KS – The
Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced today that they have acquired the rights to forward Les Reaney from the
Rapid City Rush. In return, Rapid City will receive future considerations.
Reaney, 28, has played in the Black Hills for the past three seasons. In 186 games in a Rush uniform, he has accumulated 194 points (70g, 124) including an 86-point campaign (28g, 58a) during the 2009-10 season. A native of Ceylon, Saskatchewan, Reaney played three seasons at Niagara University (NCAA D-1) before turning pro in 2008-09. The 6-foot-2, 227-pound forward began that season with the Rush, appearing in eight games and scoring 15 points (5g, 10a) before finishing the season with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL. Entering his fourth season as a pro, Reaney was an assistant captain this past year. Overall, Reaney has racked up 238 points (85g, 153a) and 418 penalty minutes in 237 games as a pro.
