Prescott Valley, AZ - The Arizona Sundogs announced Tuesday, they have hired Scott Muscutt for the remainder of the 2012-13 season.

"This is good opportunity for me and I am really excited to join the Sundogs." said Scott Muscutt . He continued to say, "I didn't think I wanted to get back into hockey or coaching but after speaking with the ownership I felt like this would be a perfect fit for me. The organization seems very sound and they are prepared to move forward. The guys on the team are a great bunch of guys and have come together and are looking to establish good things."

Muscutt has 11 years of head coaching experience, all of them with the now defunct Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the Central Hockey League (CHL). Prior to becoming the Mudbugs head coach, Muscutt spent three seasons playing pro hockey in Bossier-Shreveport which at the time was part of the Western Professional Hockey League (WPHL) and five years playing at the University of New Brunswick. He tallied 16 goals and 49 assists in 166 pro games, while with the Mudbugs.

General Manager Chris Presson expressed, "We are really excited for Scott to lead our team the remainder of the season. He is a true winner and we feel very fortunate to have him behind our bench. He brings passion and enthusiasm to the rink every day. His knowledge of the game, willingness to work hard and relationship with his player's sets him apart. He has been to the finals in this league four times and won it twice."
