Sean O'Connor Suspended For At Least Game 3 vs Rapid City And Possibly Longer

Menei, Rapid City's leading scorer who also notched a hat trick in Game 1, appeared to suffer a concussion and is not expected to play in Game 3 or Game 4 in Fort Wayne. The league said in a statement it would determine the length of O'Connor's suspension when the Rush have provided Menei's medical information, but O'Connor will not play Wednesday.

“The suspension is due to a lateral blind-side hit with primary contact to the head that resulted in injury,” said CHL Director of Hockey Operations Bob Hoffman.

it's a 3 game suspension

That statement is huge in the fact that they are determining the length of the suspension due to the medical information provided for the injured player.

Not only the play itself, but how seriouly he was hurt.
