Colorado Recieves George Bradley From Allen To Complete Erik Adams Trade

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today that they have completed a trade made last offseason with the Allen Americans that sent veteran defenseman Erik Adams to the then-expansion franchise. In return, it's been agreed upon that Colorado will receive rookie defenseman George Bradley from the CHL's Southern Conference champions.

Bradley (6-feet-2-inches, 210-pounds), played in just six games for the Americans at the end of the regular season (maintaining rookie status in the CHL). He spent the previous five seasons at Brock University (CIS), posting 18 points (2-16-18) from the blue line. The right-handed shooter was named the Badgers' captain in 2009-10, and brings a quality makeup to the Eagles.

Upon being named captain, Badgers' head coach Murray Nystrom said in a team press release, "George has been a key contributor on our blue line the past couple seasons and has (shown) team leadership both on and off the ice...He brings a lot of experience to our lineup, and has been a good role model in our dressing room and also in the community."

Eagles assistant coach, Greg Pankewicz, who helped complete the trade, echoed those sentiments: "First and foremost, he's a quality kid with great character, and that's the type of player we look to bring to Northern Colorado. He's a steady, hard-working defenseman whom we're excited to bring into the fold."
