Allen, Texas - The
Allen Americans announced another signing on Thursday, coming to terms with forward Chris Doyle on a contract for the upcoming season.
The native of Charlottetown, PEI, is a 6’0/195 lb. lefty. Doyle played in 41 games last year in the ECHL, splitting time between South Carolina, Stockton and Reading, netting 19 goals and 34 points combined in the three cities.
Doyle was selected by the
New York Rangers in the 5th round of the 2008 entry draft. He played his major junior hockey with Prince Edward Island of the QMJHL. In four seasons, he scored 90 goals for 204 points.
Chris Doyle joins Nino Musitelli, Jarret Lukin, Brian McMillin, Jason Deitsch,
Darryl Bootland, Brad Gallant, Mike Berube, Tyler Ludwig and Trevor Ludwig, bringing the roster total to ten players announced to date.
