GLENDALE, AZ – The Central Hockey League announced today that Fort Worth Brahmas forward John Snowden has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending February 17, 2013. This marks the second time this season that Snowden has earned the weekly honor (also earned the recognition for the week of January 7-13).

Snowden had points in all four of the Brahmas games last week including a near record effort in Wednesday’s 7-1 victory in Arizona. Over the weekend, the Everett, Washington native scored one of the Brahmas two goals in their 4-2 loss to Allen on Friday and then came back with a pair of assists in Fort Worth’s 4-3 overtime win at Tulsa.

On the season, Snowden has scored 21 goals with 15 assists in 26 games with Fort Worth. The veteran played in 22 games with Rapid City scoring two goals with nine assists prior to joining the Brahmas just prior to Christmas.

GLENDALE, AZ – The Central Hockey League announced today that Allen Americans forward Jarret Lukin has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending March 3, 2013.

In Friday’s 4-0 win, Lukin scored the game’s opening goal and assisted on another first period strike which was all the Americans needed in their shutout victory. Then on Saturday, the 5-11, 185-pounder scored a third period power play goal breaking a two-all tie in his team’s win over Missouri.

On the season, Lukin has scored 16 goals with 14 assists in 52 games. He carries a +8 plus/minus rating and has four game winning goals (tied for second on the first place Americans) and a team-leading three shorthanded goals.
