The
Las Vegas Wranglers announced today a trade with the
Greenville Road Warriors which sees forward Scott Pitt coming to Las Vegas in exchange for defenseman Bretton Stamler and left wing Chris Collins.
Pitt, 23, collected five goals and 15 points in 23 games with the Road Warriors this season, and has already appeared in one American Hockey League game with the
Connecticut Whale. The 6-foot, 175-pound left wing was also part of the 2011-12
Florida Everblades squad that went on to win the 2012 Kelly Cup, with Pitt being named ECHL Rookie of the Month in March 2012 as his seven goals and 19 points helped the team to an 11-3-0 record for a final playoff push. Overall, Pitt recorded 22 goals and 58 points in 63 regular season Everblades games, and tacked on an additional three points (1 goal, 2 assists) in the playoffs. Before turning pro, the Ottawa, Ontario native spent four years at Mercyhurst College, putting up 132 points (47 goals, 85 assists) in 156 games.
Stamler, 25, picked up one goal and 35 penalty minutes in 15 games with the Wranglers this season. Collins, 28, notched a goal and an assist in eight games for Las Vegas before being loaned to the AHL’s
Springfield Falcons last week.
