TRENTON, N.J. – The ECHL today approved the purchase of Blue Line Sports LLC (which operates the Trenton Titans) by Delaware Valley Sports Group LLC.

Delaware Valley Sports Group LLC consists of Jim O’Connor, Jim Cook, Tim Curran and Titans President/CEO Richard Lisk.

“I want to thank John and Eileen Martinson for bringing back the Titans and giving us the opportunity to build a strong foundation,’’ said Lisk. “I’m excited about working with the new owners of Blue Line Sports and what the future holds for our fans, players, staff and community.’’

ECHL Commissioner Brian McKenna also feels the transaction bodes well for the Titans’ future.

“We are pleased to welcome the new ownership of the Trenton Titans,’’ said McKenna. “We look forward to working with Jim O’Connor and Jim Cook and the management team as they continue their efforts to expand the Titans brand.

“We also sincerely appreciate the efforts of John and Eileen Martinson who stepped in to purchase the team last summer. With the entire off season to prepare, we believe the 2012-13 season will show significant growth in support and attendance.
