Boise, ID - The ECHL's Idaho Steelheads announced Thursday that forward Jacob Cepis, who led the team in scoring last season, has signed a contract for the 2012-13 campaign.

The Parma, Ohio, native scored 20 goals and added 25 assists in his first professional season out of the University of Minnesota. His 45 points were 13th-most among ECHL rookies despite appearing in just 57 games during the regular season. Cepis (SEEP-iss) added another nine points (four goals, five assists) in the playoffs, picking up at least one point in seven of the nine Kelly Cup Playoff games that he appeared in, including two game-winning goals.

Head Coach Brad Ralph on Cepis: "Jacob is a dynamic offensive player and he worked hard this off-season to make himself an even- better player. He's going to be a big piece of our offense again this season."

With Cepis, Ralph currently has eleven players scheduled to attend training camp with the Steelheads: Cepis, F Justin Dowling, F Ron Meyers, F Taylor McReynods, F Austin Mayer, F Andrew Wright, F Jake Morely, D Matt Case, D Deron Cousens, D Scott Todd, and D Scott Fletcher.
