Scott Fletcher's Suspension To Carry Over Into 2010-11 Season

Quote:
The indefinite suspension he was issued after an incident in Game 6 of the American Conference finals in Cincinnati will carry over to the 2010-11 season, ECHL vice president of hockey operations Mike Murray said in an interview Friday.

"We've looked into it and the suspension will continue into the next season," he said.
Quote:
Murray said the ECHL will decide on a number of games for the suspension at a later date. He also said that the AHL is aware of the incident and also will make its decision on a suspension at a later date.

What'd he do? Hopefully he's not in the league anymore anyway.

Apparently, Fletcher hit some guy in the stands with his stick.

Here's the original suspension thread, which will give you a little more insight on the situation.

Reading's Scott Fletcher suspended indefinitely

From what I heard it was more of a aggressive fan that made a move at Fletcher at the bench tunnel and Fletcher responded. Another case of a stupid fan thinking they can do whatever they want to a player and get a good laugh about it. These fans need to realize that these players come off the ice their adrenaline is pumping and yet they continue to antagonize. Screaming at them. holding up signs no big deal, making agreesive moves at players is unacceptable and hockey leagues need to protect the players rights also.

I agree "blackngold" he doesn't belong in the ECHL he's ready for the AHL. Hopefully in Providence for the entire season next year.

I'm pretty sure Fletcher would have pounded that guy.... I wouldn't mess with him.
