Road Warriors Re-Sign Bretton Cameron and Jeremy Gouchie

GREENVILLE, SC- The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they have signed forwards Bretton Cameron and Jeremy Gouchie. Both players will be entering their second season with the Road Warriors.

"I loved the city last season," said Gouchie when asked why he decided to come back to Greenville. "The fans were unbelievable. I had great teammates and coaches. We have a great team coming back, and hopefully we can win a championship." Cameron, who joined the Road Warriors last January in a trade with the Stockton Thunder, shared his teammate's championship aspirations. "In the time I was here last season, it was easy to see we had a great core group of guys," said Cameron. "With those guys coming back, I know we can challenge for a Kelly Cup and we shouldn't settle for anything less."

Jeremy Gouchie was the Road Warriors' leading rookie scorer last season, posting 23 points (6G, 17A) in 69 games. A native of Quebec, Gouchie spent four seasons with the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles and the Montreal Juniors of the Quebec Major Junior League before turning pro. Over those four seasons, Gouchie collected 66 goals and 104 assists. "Gouchie came to us straight out of juniors last year, and he made big improvements to his game and learned how to be a pro," said Road Warriors Coach Dean Stork. "I'm expecting a lot of big things coming into his second season."

Bretton Cameron will be entering his third season of professional hockey. Following his trade to Greenville, Cameron tallied six goals and 17 assists for the Road Warriors, bringing his full season totals for 2011-12 to 12 goals and 26 assists in 64 games. In 2010-11, the Alberta native posted 31 points (16G, 15A) in 53 games for the Thunder. "Cameron came a long way after the trade from Stockton," said Stork. "He still has room to improve; but he's an excellent character guy, and adds some grittiness to the roster."
