Reading Home Game 11/11/2012

I'm thinking about going to this game and am looking for a little info if someone doesn't mind helping me out.

We're driving from Easton PA to Pittsburgh for the Steelers game Monday night and I'm thinking about leaving Easton a day early and taking in the Royals game Sunday afternoon.

Are tickets normally available the day of a game?
There's a Hampton Inn I'm looking at in Wyomissing, is this a decent area? It's the closest hotel to the arena that I can use points. (about 5 miles)
