Komets Release 10 Including Jean-Philipp Chabot

Well, there is one every year, and we've got a very surprising cut for the Komets.

They cut loose center Jean-Philipp Chabot today. I'm baffled, not only because I had him pegged as a second-line forward this season, but he was arguably the best player in camp, in the opinion of many. He was scoring. He was fighting. My best guess is that they deemed he wasn't fast enough for the ECHL.

Also cut today were: Ricky Helmbrecht, Tim Buttery, Mike Hoban, Brayden Metz, Seth Ronsberg, Cory Park, Patrick Knowlton, Matt Atsoff and John Dunbar.
