Greenville Road Warriors Sign Head Coach Dean Stork to One-Year Contract Extension

Greenville, SC: The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers, announced today that Head Coach Dean Stork's contract has been extended through the 2014-15 season.

Coach Stork has been the Road Warriors head coach since the team's inaugural season in 2010. Since then, he has compiled a 155-96-23 record while reaching the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs each year. He captured the 2010-11 South Division title and guided the team to the Eastern Conference's best record with 96 points. He is the third longest tenured head coach in the ECHL.

Stork joined Greenville after four years as an assistant coach with the ECHL's Cincinnati Cyclones. Over four seasons in Cincinnati, Stork helped guide the Cyclones to three consecutive appearances in the American Conference Finals and two Kelly Cup Championships (2008 and 2010). The 2007-08 season was a banner campaign for Stork and the Cyclones as the eventual champions piled up team records including; wins (55), points (115), consecutive wins (17), and fewest goals allowed (178).
