Gladiators Sign Jonathan Narbonne and Devon Krogh

DULUTH, Ga. - The Gwinnett Gladiators signed the first two members of the 2013-14 squad on Wednesday, as the team brought back defenseman Jonathan Narbonne and added former Ohio State defenseman Devon Krogh.

Narbonne, 20, spent a majority of last season with the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he tallied nine goals, 31 assists, and was a plus-13 in 57 games. He also had an assist in five playoff games for Moncton. The Laval, PQ native also had a goal and five assists in seven games for Shawinigan of the QMJHL, and was awarded the "Kevin Lowe Trophy" as the best defensive defenseman in the league.

The Gladiators signed Narbonne on March 31, and he was with the team through its playoff run but did not appear in a game.

Krogh, 23, racked up two goals and nine assists in 31 games in his senior year as the team captain at Ohio State last season. The West Vancouver, BC native played in 129 games in his four-year Buckeye career, totaling eight goals, 33 assists, and 146 penalty minutes.
