Dayton, Mississippi, Phoenix ECHL Players Declared Unrestricted Free Agents

PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL announced that, as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Professional Hockey Players’ Association that Dayton Bombers, Mississippi Sea Wolves and Phoenix Roadrunners players are deemed unrestricted free agents, effective immediately.

Dayton, Mississippi and Phoenix informed the ECHL that they will not be competing in 2009-10 and must inform the League of their future plans at the Annual Board of Governors Meeting in June.

Well the CHL and IHL are definitely gonna benifit from this. Even the SPHL will too.

i dont know how much the chl will benefit due to the veteran limit of 4 on a team. i think the ihl will benefit the most of any league other than europe.

I wonder if Britt Dougherty will return to his CHL stomping grounds?

I can't speak on his playing or even fighting talent, but I don't think he'd get more than a cup of coffee in the AHL, if anything.
