2011-12 Peoples Choice Award
The easiest award to think about and vote for. It's as easy as, who's your favorite fighter?

We're tied to a 30 person limit, so if you're favorite isn't up there - go to plan B.

My Pick

A tough one this year to not include 3 perennial favorites, Derek Boogaard, Rick Rypien and Wade Belak. Mix in that Colton Orr and Eric Godad's NHL careers appear on the verge of collapse, this one becomes even tougher. I went with a guy who has a fight of the year every single year, seemingly... Krys Barch.

Same for McCormick...how can Clifford, Carcillio, Dorsett, Ott, Rinaldo, VANDERMEER, etc make it after McCormick?

I do that typo literally 95% of the time I write about Carkner. Its amazing! Thanks.

Toss up between Gratts and Thornton. Went with Gratts but seriously could have went either way.

Going with Brandon Prust, the guy has so much heart, not the biggest of punchers but will go with anyone, superb guy to have on your team.

Since Godard, and MacIntyre are no longer in the league i will go with another power puncher in Deryk Engelland.

How does Brandon Bolling not make the list? There are some really sh1tty candidates on that list and Bollig doesn't make it? The guy is fun to watch, a throwback, and can play a little bit and did well in all his fights. Let's hope Hawks management keeps him with the big club next year, they got rid of John Scott so it looks promising for Bollig.

I guess I'm abstaining, I can't vote for any of those guys. If plan B is to vote for someone you don't like......

Steve Ott??? WTF???

Over Lucic and Bollig and probably a dozen others? Steve Blanking Ott? Holy crap. Steve Ott isn't even the best fighter on his own team! Can he really be considered as a favorite fighter? Even by Stars fans? OMG

The poll can be changed. Add Looch and Bollig at least and ditch Ott and Matt Martin or some other half baked fighter.
