Big George and Brash were not all that impressive last year. To see what they did this year was not totally unexpected, due to age, wear and tear, along with the hunger.

To see Belak fall apart like he did was not expected, as he was touted as one of the heirs to the throne. He gets my vote.

Belak was beyond a let down this year.
The guy has all of the potential in the world, 90% of this board had him crowned as champ last year before the season even started.
Who knows, perhaps he had a very short leash last year , regardless he was passive and boring last year.

More to just round out the field. He was definitely down from last year (volume, playing time, results) slightly. I didn't want to nominate people who were ALREADY dissappointing (as was mentioned). So I threw Godard in there... he definitely won't win the award, dont worry

Ok. He's hardly getting any votes so I guess we all mostly agree he is not really much of a let down.

Taking everything into account what happened this season, both on and off the ice, I think Laraque is the clear choice for this one. If this is the way his career ends, it'll be such a sad way for it to go for a guy that had so much potential to be so much more.

Laraque. The former HW champ was told to go away and he seemed uninterested in fighting.

Belak was surprisingly not good.

I don't think you can blame BGL and Brash...not their fault. Age, their teams didn't play them, etc.

Makes absolutely no sense to have Godard on that list when he missed most of the year with an injury.

Belak, after last year I expected him to challenge for the belt of Best HW in the League and I got only a big letdown. He has all the tools to be a top-3 fighters, but it seems he always come up short when it's time to prove it.
