Can't really put Peters up for nomination since he won the award 2 years ago. You can't really decline from being disappointing.

Brashear and Laraque very likely saw the ends of their respective NHL careers this season, and both went out fairly ungracefully. While both cases may have been disappointing, I think most of us knew their time of dominance was nearing an end. Wade Belak, however, was coming off a fantastic season, and between inactivity (definitely not entirely his fault) and disappointment on those occasions he did drop the gloves, he dropped quite a bit in standing. Belak takes this award in my mind.

Belak based on the hype going into the season.

Again Merlin, how is Godard on the decline? He was hurt for a lot of the year and he had pretty good showings in his 8 fights this year. And he did not lose to Brashear.

I give it to Belak for having such a strong year last year and such a poor year this year.

Brashear isn't really a let down because I enjoyed watching him lose a bit.

Laraque was just more of the same. Not let down at all by his phasing out of the league.

Was sooo excited when Bash came to the Rangers, but he just didnt deliver. And we lacked a enforcer until Prust and Shelley joined. The Gaborik thing highlighted that.

Biggest Let Down: B's retribution on Cooke....

As for fighters: Brashear. he's in the Big APple to show what he can do, he gets sent down and Shelley takes his place and almost propels them into the playoffs.

Can't give it Brash cause of his age, not Godard because you can't be a let-down when you don't dress reguarly, Laraque Eh..he kind of got hated on, Maybe this is Belak cause he didn't really fair well in some contests last-year.

None of these guys played a lot which makes it difficult to vote.
I went with Goddard cause I thought he had the best chance

Both Laraque and Brashear were victims of circumstance. I'd still take either one of them on my team in a minute.

Fighting-wise the whole year was a letdown, so I don't think you can single out any one individual.
