1. this isnt most feared fighter
2. chara?
3. wrestling?!?!?
4. valabik???

I'm baseing the best fight of the year on popularity and of reoccurance of fights. Eric had alot of fights this year and all of them to me were very impressive.

I'm suprised Eric Godard is getting more votes than Colton Orr. Orr to me, had the better season overall.

Bring on more flames since I don't love Orr

Godard all the way. I'd take Belak over Orr but Godard over all. Godard had double the number of fights than Belak and those extras weren't hot dogs, full of lips *ssholes and filler.

Tough all around between Belak, Orr and Godard. Belak may be the top guy now, but based on the 21 bouts, the impressive performances, the slaying of giants MacIntyre and Fritz, and the 3rd Orr bout TKO to name a few, I went with Godard.

Godard for me, lot of activity scoring big wins and TKOs.
I know that Belak had a great year too, but you cannot be the champ with 11 fights only.

Godard all the way.
Belak's only big win was against Brash.
Godard has knocked quite a few giants on their asses, and he has had a great season against big fighters like Orr.

So you don't count his wins over Boogaard then..

Belak had the best year... Godard done good but lost quite a few fights as well and is an inconstant fighter..

Shelley / Brookbank / Orr / Cote all beat Godard this year..

I went with Belak - aside from what her did to Brashear, he is a quality fighter, also.

Laraque didn't do much this past year,....yet, nobody still beats him or even looks good against him.

Just 'cause Orr and Godard fight a lot, doesn't mean they're that good - they've both got a ways to go.

Yes both are good but lack the consistency of the top fighters..

I kind of messed up I was thinking this was a MVP type vote. I wen't with Godard but after reading the point of this again I'd change my vote to Brashear. He is the best fighter in the league no doubt.

I had Brash at number 2 this year.. Still a top top fighter in the league.. Shame it looks like he's going to the KHL next season..

Is there something new I didn't hear about yet? Last I saw Brash was meeting with the Capitals about returning next season and has denied all the rumors that he was set to sign with Vityaz Chekhov. Plus last I saw Vityaz Chekhov is in financial trouble.

Quote:
"K.H.L. vice president Vladimir Shalaev gives five clubs until midnight Friday to sort out their finances or face suspension from the league. Khimik Voskresensk, Vityaz Chekhov, HK MVD Balashikha, Metallurg Novokuznetsk and Sibir Novosibirsk. The teams, in financial trouble, can appeal any adverse decision as late as June 12."

Quote:
"Sovietsky Sport has learned that a meeting took place on Thursday between Vityaz GM Alexei Zhamnov and KHL president Alexander Medvedev. The head of the Chekov club requested a deferment for payment of the player and coaches past-due salaries for February, March and April. They guaranteed to pay 60% of the amount by the end of May and the remaining 40% by June 30. The Chekov club also sent an official letter with a repayment schedule to the KHL."
LINK

I hope Brash stays in the NHL. Although on the downswing of his career, he's still one of the best enforcers and fighters in the NHL.
