Those two guys are cool and all, but there is too much contrast between Lucic and the other forwards on the list. I'm not a Lucic hater, but he's a 3rd or fourth line guy and the other dudes are are either are either first line centers or top 2 D-men on their teams. Technically Hartnell is a 2nd line guy, but he scored 30 and took on Godard, so IMO he earned his spot. I see Lucic's point totals improving in the future, but as of right now, the other names on the list are just to good. Lucic shouldn't be a candidate for the Neely this year.

hate to tell you this bro, but Lucic played most of the season on the first line with Savard and Kessel, and led the league in plus/minus in the playoffs with a plus 12 and now is still third in half the games.

you obviously havent watched any Bruins games this year...

its funny 308 people say he should be the winner ans you dont even think he should be nominated.....

ahhhhhhhhhh....no.

Hes been called a spotpicking bitch, a coward for not fighting BGL, a dirty player for his crosscheck on lappierre in the playoffs and a punk for his beatdown on Mike Brown.

I only have 1 vote here so if you read most people's answers here, most dont like him but they all agree that he wins this vote.

Most people here dont like Lucic, but at least they are honest about him.

Richards and Iginla = top twenty in points
Hartnell = top sixty in points
Lucic = ranked 166th in points this year

Your plus minus argument would carry more weight if he was a D-man.

I'm not arguing that he's not the best fighter on the list (even though that is questionable). I'm saying he is far less skilled than the other guys. I agree with Kpunk, when you drop the standards that low, there are a few other guys with better cards than Lucic. ML is legit, and anybody who says they wouldn't want him on their team is probably lying, but he shouldn't be on this list.

Lucic only played on 1st line for about 3-4 months. He played on 3rd line for rest of year

Once... they only played together twice this year (not including playoffs). Everytime they played either Lucic was hurt or Laraque was hurt. And If you watched those games, he didn't run away scared or nothing.... he actually played entire shifts with BGL and laid some good hits on him... and vice versa.

He did spend a decent time out with injury. He deserves more points than he is credited for..... he help setup ALOT of goals by hitting the defense and such... they don't count as assists since he didn't touch the puck, but indirectly he assisted by cleaning house in front of the net.

Ahhh.. Nothing like seeing a notable Canucks forum member with over 5000+ posts taking Kevin Bieksa over someone like Milan Lucic.... Canucks.com anyone?

Who would win in a Spotpicking contest between Bieska and Lucic? IMO it's too close to call.
