I went with Cote, could have been Roy as well. I've never really liked Roy and I feel he's a boring fighter so I didn't expect much. Cote however had a great end to last year and I figured it would carry over this year but not so much... too bad. Makes me wonder how long Philly is going to keep him as the go to guy?

Whatever that means, i don't know. Darcy however, is over the hill.
And as a born again christian, whatever that means (again), doesn't fit well with being an NHL enforcer.

But afterall, the self proclaimed christians on this board has showed no remorse or the slightest respect for others beliefs, so it maybe is a good thing? The lack of remorse is afterall what i like to see when the gloves hits the ice.
Hordi may or may not be a born again Christian, I don't know, but even if he was, that has nothing to do with his job description as an enforcer. As somebody else mentioned, Stu Grimson was one of the tougher guys of his era while also being very religious. Not to mention that throughout the years, the enforcers and tough guys have usually been some of the nicest, most well spoken and charitable guys that ever played. What they do on the ice has nothing to do with how they conduct themselves off of it.

I think that he will bounce back but based on last year I will vote for Riley Cote.

My vote is for Roy. I've never been a big fan of his and thought that he was just a dime a dozen heavyweight anyways, and thought that there were tougher guys than him in the AHL, but last year he was particularly pathetic.

Eh.

Personally... I'd go with Boogaard. Dude was a huge let down this year.

Cote was said to be the best pound for pound fighter in the league by George Laraque.. He fights all the top guys regularly and usually pushes them close, always puts in good exciting fights, and is every season up with the most fighting majors..

Cote may of only won a few but he beat Godard and pushed all the top guys close in fights this year, Belak, Fritz, Shelley, MacIntyre, Parros.. The only guy to give Cote a beating this year was Brashear, yet Cote still came back for more latter in the game..

i'm not gonna disagree that cote had a ****ty year, but you dont seem to understand why people love him. do you remember his fight w/ brashear this year when brashear killed him? cote came out and challenged him the next period and fought him to a draw. thats why people love cote, its his heart, not his records.

You could say the same about a lot of fights this year, but the fact is Cote took a beating in the 1st fight against Brashear but still came out and wanted more.. The fight was no worse than the Laraque v Godard showing.
