Wow, tough decision here. I ended up going with Krys Barch. There was a stretch of the season when this kid was on a rampage! His first shift with the Stars had about 3 solid hits. Great job for stepping up and filling a role left vacant with the departures of Barnaby and others from injury. Close calls would have to be Raitis who was about the only guy to keep an eye out for the good players in LA. DJ King and Eager, very close too.

I went with Ivanans but King is up there too. If Koci had a bit more time he'd have led the league in majors and PIMs and would have gotten my vote.

For me it is clearly King. The only guy that could give him a fight on that list imo is Ivanans.

I take King just because of the quality of his opponents.

Went with Ivanans...went with alot of the big boys, held his own, generally and was active alot....i really rate him as a fighter which is why i gave him the edge here....however, Barch was a spark plug, and DJ King has a future

I've gotta agree with you. Barch was very active and would fight anyone in the league. I will look forward to watching him play next season, he will be that much better. He's a tough SOB!

Eager--
He proved his last name was valid by eagerily getting the penalty minute crown this season
Alot of good choices here tho, hopefully next season has same type of refreshing rookies

1.) No, Stortini doesn't deserve to be on this poll. He sucks and is a horrible fighter. He wouldn't let Parros or Boogaard go toe-to-toe with him. He just wrestled them down. The guy is a wuss and he would get destroyed if he actually FOUGHT the real heavyweights in this league. I hate Stortini.

2.) And no, he isn't underrated for the reason I stated above. He shouldn't get ANY recognition because he is a terrible fighter.

I was going to go with D.J King but I like Ivanans more.He also fought better aganst Boogy than King did.
