2006-07: Best Player Feud

Nominees

Donald BrashearColton Orr
Three fights between these two rivals, including one on a bitter day where Brashear fought Shanahan and sucker punched Ward, while Orr retaliated by cross-checking Ovechkin in the head behind the play. The fights themselves were rather one-sided though.
Brashear vs Orr I Nov 11, 2006
Brashear vs Orr II Dec 30, 2006
Brashear vs Orr III Feb 10, 2007

Scott ParkerGeorge Parros
Three fights for these West coast rivals, including one bizarre fight where gloves were intentionally thrown into the stands!
Parker vs Parros I Nov 21, 2006
Parker vs Parros II Feb 6, 2007
Parker vs Parros III Feb 7, 2007

Eric GodardDerek Boogaard
Two fights that were hyped up after Calgary was forced to recall Godard to combat Boogaard's head-hunting of their stars. Godard scored a huge opening round victory, which lead to a great second fight a month later.
Godard vs Boogaard I Jan 9, 2007
Godard vs Boogaard II Jan 26, 2007

Cam Janssen - Arron Asham
A couple of more fights between these budding rivals which are always entertaining. Asham still can hold his own against the heavyweight Janssen.
Janssen vs Asham I Nov 2, 2006
Janssen vs Asham II Feb 17, 2007

My Pick

For multiple fights, and good old-time enforcing which led to them, I'll go with Orr-Brashear.

Brashear's ownage of Orr was hillarious and they had three fights, so I'll go with that.

Godard-Boogaard. The surprise TKO followed by Boogaard clearly out for revenge in a real good scrap. Great feud.

Godard vs Boogaard had some real anger, especially the rematch fight. They get my vote.

Boogaard-Godard also gets my vote.

Those guys don't like each other, and finally we have a fighter in Godard who will stand up and go toe-to-toe with Boogaard. And I liked when Godard TKO'ed Boogaard, because then the "Boogey man" got a taste of his own medicine. This feud between these two can get heated.

Althought these guys only fought twice, they had some nice heated scraps. Boogaard vs. Godard gets my vote.

Boogaard and Godard get my vote as these two both hate each other and whenever there in the lineup against one another they'll go. Boogaard still will never forget being dropped by Godard and I'm sure Godard is not happy about those shots Boogaard landed while they were on the ice. This will carry on too next year... But Brashear and Orr is a close second.

Boogaard vs Godard had a lot of hype and a lot of energy. A lot of people tuned in just to see if both of these guys were dressed for games against each other.
