STERLING appeared in 254 regular-season outings with the Wolves from 2006-10 and ranks third on Chicago’s all-time goal register with 143 markers and sixth on the franchise’s all-time points list with 263 points. He was awarded the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the American Hockey League’s rookie of the year and the Willie Marshall Award as the league’s leading goal-scorer after posting a career-best 55 tallies and collecting 97 points in 77 games with Chicago during the 2006-07 campaign.

The 28-year-old forward also tallied 15 goals and 31 points in 40 playoff games with Chicago, which includes helping the Wolves capture the 2008 Calder Cup championship.

The Los Angeles native notched 62 points (30G, 32A) in 73 games with the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen and Portland Pirates and skated in four National Hockey League games with the St. Louis Blues last season. STERLING led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins with 53 points (27G, 26A) in 65 contests and posted 5 points (3G, 2A) in seven NHL tilts with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2010-11.

Overall, the three-time AHL All-Star has amassed 200 goals, 178 assists, and 378 points in 392 AHL games, spanning six seasons with the Wolves, Penguins, Rivermen and Pirates. The Colorado College graduate has also appeared in 30 career NHL matchups, tallying 9 points (5G, 4A) with St. Louis (2011-12), Pittsburgh (2010-11), and the Atlanta Thrashers (2007-09).
