I love seeing Boro get tuned up...Neilson might have jumped him or something at the end of the game according to the boxscore

neilson's a bum. guy played about 30 seconds all game. he tried to start a fight after a goal and then blew a gasket at the end. he even went for the bench.

having said that...

finally we have a rivalry again.

Ugh....

Something about that "fight" really just didn't sit well with me.

Granted, I don't know if there is history between Boro and Nielson, but that wasn't a fight, that was a violent kick a man when he's down kind of crime. Nielson had a roid/bath salts rage going on that didn't seem to come from any specific place and it was entirely uncalled for. I am a little disappointed my BSens didn't actually try to take him off of Boro... but they know better than me.

I will cheer and scream for most any good hockey fight, but I was actually disturbed by that. I didn't hear anyone near me that enjoyed that "fight"

I think Boros had an ongoing thing with that whole Crunch team, he gets on everyones nerves, and he can def be pretty cheap. Seems the same with other teams too. I wanna see a video of this incident, but Im assuming it was kinda like a Sean Avery needing a beatdown deal.

That disturbed you? I was expecting Neilson to bonk Boros head off the ice and have him laying in blood from this description...Haha in a 5-2 rivalry game an enforcer goes out and does that at the end of it seems like something that we all wish we saw more of

When Macintyre went nuts against Springfield was that disturbing? Was McCarty beating up Lemieux disturbing? Was Max Talbot getting beat up 3 times by the islanders disturbing? Come on man...

I expected a whole lot worse than that from the description that LA gave. Other than the contact with the linesmen, that was not a "violent roid/bath salts rage". Boro has been a pain against the Crunch all year, and he was finally taken to task. Conacher is not an angel, but last game here Boro was border line dirty agaisnt the more talented Crunch forwards. He is leading your team in fighting majors and PiMs, so he is expected to engege the other club's heavy. Both players seemed to get their gloves off and have a fair start, Boro just got more than he expeted from Neilson.
That being said, probably cost Neilson two games for his actions.

The linesmen saved Boro in both of those fights.

well he didn't eat anyone's face but that's probably the biggest unraveling i've seen since brad wingfield back in 01 or so for the jackals.

Neilson looked like he was ready to stomp testicles and eat children

Boro didn't even get jumped as some1 pointed out...he just took a nice punch to the side of the head KD and then got saved by the linesman

Good for Neilson to let loose in a rivalry game, props to him cause that doesnt happen often

A few years ago the Baby Sens would have called up Kramer and brought back Jeremy Yablonski!
Now a days nothing will happen the next game.
