the problem with fitzgerald is that he isn't that good in his own zone, takes alot of dumb penalties and also he's a veteran (ahl rules). alot of teams prefer vets that bring more to the table than fitzgerald does ala scoring forwards or d-man like alex henry.

Jordan Hill just demolished Rinaldo's linemate with Rinaldo right there and he did nothing, I'm disappointed in him.
On another note, Munroe is having a great game.

That's just the way it's going to go." |

Also in regards to another post: Fitzgerald's on an AHL only contract and a career AHLer. Love the heart, soul, passion but with the abomination going on in the NHL brand of hockey he's got no shot. That said PHantoms have reeled of 3 straight with him in the lineup. Fitzy's also a defensemen naturally. They put him in at forward bc the Phantoms (and this is to me a Laviolette thing) have a stockpile of 4th liners who don't do anything really. He should have been playing there all year since they don't want him at defense with Dimmen stepping up and playing better with each appearance. All that said, the Phantoms do have most amount of players with at least a fighting major going into tonights action at least. (16) So I mean that is a positive.

For those aboard the Steve Oleksy bandwagon this season (in other words those who've called out his spot picking), tonight in Hershey he tried to fight one of Springfields non fighters (I think it was Atkinson or Russel) although he did balance it out by challenging Prout.
Ryan Craig turned down Kevin Marshall.
