Two listless losses in Charlotte. Not much to talk about on that front other than the road loss in regulation streak ends.

In other news, The Hurricanes pillage Kirk Muller from behind the bench during the weekend as well and is being reported to replace Maurice behind the bench in Carolina.

Good luck Kirk and eat a dick Carolina for stealing the Admirals bench boss...

Breen outclasses Ryan Flynn with a 3 jersey jab, one uppercut knockdown win, but that wasn't the story.

The Ads scored 8 on 19 shots beating up (scoreboard wise) on Abbotsford 8-3.

The goalie play for the Heat was attrocious...as was our weakside D. Good thing the boys scored a snowman with Mueller getting a hatty for the first time since Dave Scatchard did it against the Wolves potting 4 in that game.

Game tonight at the BC vs Peoria. Annual Teddy Bear Toss game tonight!

Ads sweep the home and home against Peoria 5-1 in Milwaukee and 3-2 in Peoria with Latta getting into a bout with Cundari as the only FM during the two games.

Coach Herbers is 3-0 since taking over and Milwaukee has announced a new assistant coach.

Quote:
Milwaukee, WI—The Milwaukee Admirals announced today that Stan Drulia has been hired as the team’s new assistant coach. Drulia’s appointment comes after Ian Herbers was elevated to be the team’s head coach last week.

Drulia brings an impressive coaching and playing resume to the Milwaukee, having most recently served as the head coach for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. During his time in Wheeling, Drulia helped the Nailers to a combined 49-35-0-5 record. In 2010-11 they posted a 38-29-0-5 record which was good for second place in the ECHL’s North Division and made it the third round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Last season Wheeling saw 18 different players promoted to the American Hockey League.

“We are excited to have Stan join us here in Milwaukee,” said Herbers. “He has extensive head coaching experience at the ECHL level and brings different skills and perspective to the table that will certainly benefit our organization. Stan has a great work ethic and a very positive attitude and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”

Prior to joining the Wheelers, the Elmira, NY native spent three seasons as the head coach for the Port Huron Icehawks of the International Hockey League where he accumulated a notable 132-75-21 record. In his first year with the Icehawks Drulia guided the team to a 41-29-6 record and berth in the IHL Finals where they lost a 3-2 overtime decision in game seven. The following season he led Port Huron to a 44-21-11 mark and was selected as the IHL Coach of the Year.

Drulia also spent two seasons as the bench boss of the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL and in his only year as the head coach of the Orlando Seals of the Atlantic Coast Hockey League he guided the club to the league title, earning ACHL Coach of the Year honors in the process.

A two-time Turner Cup Champion as a player, Drulia completed a remarkable 13-year playing career in 2001. He played in 126 NHL contests with the Tampa Bay Lightning, finishing with 42 points on 15 goals and 27 assists. Three times in his career he posted more than 100 points in a single season, including the 1993-94 campaign when he tallied 114 points (54g-60a) for Atlanta, and was named the IHL Playoff MVP as the Knights captured the Turner Cup. Drulia also won the Cup with the Herbers and the Detroit Vipers in 1996-97 and he earned his second N.R. “Bud” Poile award as IHL Playoff MVP in 1999, even though the Vipers lost in the Finals. Before turning pro Drulia cranked out an OHL record 479 points with three different teams, a record that still stands today.

College schedule contines...

Ads finally take to the ice tonight against Grand Rapids as the games only take place around here on the weekends.

Schedule maker is a retard as Milwaukee has been getting on average, 4-5 days off in a row then play back to back or in the case 3 in 3 with a travel game sandwiched between two home games.

It's no wonder the boys already have 5 games in hand against currently 1st place Charlotte.

The Ford Amadio fight was a snoozer but the Callahan Valantine tilt was anything but. Yard sale equipment throwing, long squareoff with the complimentary ditching of the buckets, and then 3 quick punches by Scotty and down goes Callahan. It literally looked like he beat him into the ice.

Great job Scotty on what turned out to be the highlight of the evening. Oh yeah, they won in a shootout too.

Saturday's game. Lost to Chicago, no fights, typical **** there. Only ge to see about 50 more of those games with the "new and improved" AHL schedule.

Blech...

Sunday's game back at home had us up 3-2 after one but the boys only allowed 5 shots on goal. You get where I'm going here. Good defense until they shot and then it was almost 50-50 whether it went in or not. This continued through to the 2nd as well as Rockford took a 4-3 lead.

News flash! Zack Stortini had what I term as his best fight in over two years. He threw lefts, he threw rights,...he won!

And so did the Admirals in another shootout to take 2 of 3 over the weekend.

Jon Blum and Blake Geoffrion have also been assigned to Milwaukee from Nashville.

Looking forward to the game against the Marlies tomorrow. I am really hoping Kelsey Wilson will find a partner on his old stomping grounds.

Ads win 4-2 against the Wolves for their 9th straight at home.

Oreskovich was funny to watch as he played like a tard most of the game and had 4 minors for his efforts.

Really liking the way the blueline is coming along and I am really digging the way Michael Latta is progressing.

Upcoming games are New Year's Eve in the Rapids and New Year's Day at home against Peoria.

Lose both over the New Year weekend.

Chris Mueller and Ryan Ellis selected for the AHL All Star game.

I guess when selecting players, they never actually have to see the full body of work for said Ellis. If they had, it's doubtful he would have made it.

Saturday's game against Charlotte was going fine, Ads up by a goal, Ford beat Soryal in a spirited tilt, and then two bad turnovers in the 3rd lead to a disappointing 4-3 loss. Herbers fails to pull the goaltender in time for whatever reason. The boys had control of the puck for a full 30 seconds with just less then 2 to go and Lindback was not called over.

Sunday, Mueller scored with 2:30 to go to draw the boys with in one, but shortly thereafter, Teemu takes a bad penalty giving them a PP. Ads are short, not even in the offensive zone, and Herbers pulls the goalie for an extra attacker. Promptly turn the puck over and the Rivermen score the empty netter.

Those last two games were frustrating from a game management standpoint to be sure.

Ads look to right the ship tonight against against the Rosemont Wolves at Allstate.
