Josh Green Named Barons Captain

The Oklahoma City Barons named Josh Green captain earlier today. Four different players have earned alternate captain roles. Jordan Eberle and Chris VandeVelde are designated as alternate captains at home, while Alex Plante and Dane Byers are designated as alternate captains on the road.

Green, a 6-3, 215-pounder from Camrose, Alberta is entering his 17th season of play. Originally a 2nd round draft choice (30th overall) of the Los Angeles Kings in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Green has played 341 games at the NHL level. Overall, he has skated in 817 games in the professional ranks, scoring 402 points (182-220-402).
