I was at this game with the fam. It was Kids Day so it was nice to see a big crowd although I had to watch my cussing.
The Amerks were controlling play the whole game. Hershey's goalie was making some solid saves and had the help of the post two times. After going down 2-0, Tarno did exactly what he had to do on the next faceoff, and asked for a dance partner. Although the fight was kinda weak, it totally got the crowd fired up and back into the game. Nice job protecting the back of Wellars head. Rochester definitely got as momentum boost and scored to make it 2-1 shortly after the fight. BUT, it was Kids Day and they had a Teddy Bear Toss after the Amerks scored their first goal. I know it was for a good cause, but damn did that 10 minutes of cleanup kill any momentum the Amerks got from that fight and goal. They ended up losing 4-1.
I like tarno and what he brings to this team. He knows his role, and does a great job hittin' and has contributed offensively. He is on the PP. Right around the end of the 1st, the Amerks were on the PP and a scrum ensued in front of Hershey's net, and one of the Bears gave Nick a solid glove punch to the mug. He was pizzed and was yelling and trying to get at the guy, but couldn't really do anything because of being on the PP.
Tarno is a great guy for this team. Good leader and vet presence. The Sabres could use some of the life that he provides!!!
