Hershey Bears Sign Joel Rechlicz

HERSHEY – The HERSHEY BEARS announced today that the club has signed right wing Joel Rechlicz to an AHL contract for the 2011-12 season. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Rechlicz, 24, returns for his second season in a Chocolate and White sweater, after scoring one goal and accumulating 132 penalty minutes in 28 games in 2010-11. A native of Brookfield, WI, Rechlicz also has 23 games of NHL experience entering 2011-12. He has 95 career penalty minutes and one assist at the NHL level, all with the New York Islanders.

That's good. Only 28 games last season, hopefully he plays a lot more this season.

27 games in 09-10 split between NHL and AHL. He hasn't played a lot of hockey the last 2 years.

Good for Joel, he earned it with some good scraps last year. If his face isn't broke again, i think he'll see more games.
