Heat Sign Zach McKelvie to One-Year Contract

Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat announced today the signing of free agent defenceman Zach McKelvie to a one year American Hockey League Standard Player Contract.

McKelvie, a native of New Brighton, Minnesota, attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and was named the NCAA's (Atlantic Hockey Conference) ‘Best Defensive Defenseman' during the 2007-08 season while playing with the Army Black Knights. McKelvie also was named to the First All-Star Team in the Atlantic Hockey Conference during 2007-08.
