Griffins Assign Petr Mrazek to Toledo (ECHL); Recalled on Sunday
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Saturday reassigned goaltender Petr Mrazek from the Grand Rapids Griffins to the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye.
Mrazek, 20, played in 50 games for the OHL’s Ottawa 67s in 2011-12, sporting a 30-13-6 record, a 2.84 goals against average and three shutouts. The native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, is expected to play for Toledo tonight as the Walleye host the Kalamazoo Wings at 9 p.m., following an AHL preseason contest between the Griffins and Lake Erie Monsters at 6 p.m. at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. |

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Detroit Red Wings on Sunday reassigned goaltender Petr Mrazek from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye to the Grand Rapids Griffins.
A native of Ostrava, Czech Republic, Mrazek was reassigned to Toledo by Detroit yesterday and made 19 saves in the Walleye’s preseason contest against the Kalamazoo Wings. The 20-year-old goaltender is in his first professional season after spending three years with the OHL’s Ottawa 67s. |
